MY STORY.

health coach

My name is Stu. While growing up I was always active, healthy and completely average weight.  I was never the biggest guy, but never the smallest either.  I enjoyed sports, but was never in the top teams….your average kid.

When I left high school I weighed around 65kgs. A bit skinny, but healthy.

The wide open spaces of life after high school seemed to do a number on me though.  Suddenly I was in this wide world of infinite possibility, and to be honest, it scared the hell out of me.  What was I supposed to do now? What were the rules out here? Who must I listen to?

I soon found the answers to these questions were mostly “Well, you can do whatever you want.” and that was amazing after a strict, all boys high school!

So...I lived the way of a typical student for a good few years, but this took it’s toll on my health.  Between the age of 18 and 26 I went through a depression period, I developed chronic heartburn and GERD, I would have random episodes of acute nausea and vomiting (which could only be stopped by a trip to the ER and a anti nausea IV), lower back pain and I managed to put on around 40kgs!

I didn’t own a scale.  I remember taking my dog to the vet one day and randomly stepping on their scale, and it read out 3 digits. That was a bit of a shock. Around the same time, during one of my regular doctor visits, I got told I should "lose a few kilos".

 I was officially fat!

I then embarked on what Instagram models worldwide call a “Fitness Journey”.  (I will refrain from posting any pics of myself in booty shorts though).

In the end I managed to lose around 30kgs, put on a little muscle and gain a lot of strength, but more importantly, I managed to drop all the physical ailments that had been plaguing me.  No more antidepressants. No more heart burn meds. No more back pain. No more nausea.

This was a journey of discovery for me. I went through multiple programs, diets, strategies etc. and while they all worked to some extent, I found some to be insanely gruelling, and others to be almost effortless I would like to make it easier for you to find your winning strategy and help you attain the health goals that are important to you, without the wasted time of trial and error.
